Hours and staffing

Staffed, open 4:00 AM to 1:00 AM daily.

Tracks

Tracks 1, 3, and 6, with Track 6 rarely used. To reach Track 1, exit the back door, turn right, cross South Water Street, and go up the ramp. To reach Track 3, exit the back door, cross the gate area, and follow the signs.

Tickets

The Amtrak ticket window is open 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily. It sells Shore Line East and Amtrak tickets only; it does not sell Metro-North or Hartford Line tickets. No ticket vending machines.

Train information displays

A manual station board is behind the ticket booth. Platform announcements cover arrivals and departures.

Parking

There is a drop-off area in front of the station. Paid parking is in the garage at 27 Water Street: 500 spaces, open 24/7, clearance 6 feet 8 inches. Daily, monthly, and event parking are available. The garage accepts cash, credit, and debit.

Accessibility and facilities

ADA accessible trains and platforms. Boarding assistance is available; visit the ticket window at least one hour before departure. Restrooms, vending machines, phone charging, an ATM, and Wi-Fi. This is a ground-level station with no elevators. There is no seating on the platform. Bike racks available. No lockers.

Buses pick up and drop off in front of the station on Water Street.

Connections

Ferries from New London include the Cross Sound Ferry to Orient Point, NY, the Fishers Island Ferry, and the Block Island Ferry. SEAT Route 108 bus connects to Groton, Mystic Seaport Museum, and Mohegan Sun.
