Shore Line East One-Way Tickets

A Shore Line East one-way ticket covers a single ride between the two stations printed on it. It is valid in either direction. No reservation is required, and Shore Line East does not sell round-trip tickets, so a round trip means buying two one-way tickets.

A one-way ticket is valid for 60 days if bought in the CTrail eTix app or at a ticket vending machine, and for 90 days if bought at an Amtrak ticket window. It is non-transferable, and a lost or expired ticket cannot be replaced.

One-way tickets are not accepted on the Amtrak trains shown on the Shore Line East schedule (the cross-honor trains marked with a blue column, an asterisk, and the AMTK label). For those trains you need a Ten-Trip or Monthly ticket with an Amtrak RideReserve reservation, or a ticket bought directly from Amtrak. See Using Shore Line East Tickets on Amtrak Trains.

Seniors 65 and older, riders with disabilities, and children ride at reduced or no-cost fares. Eligibility, ID, and pricing are in Shore Line East Fares and Discounts.
